The Iraqi Alpagut Federation, with the sponsorship and support of Al Maaref University in Anbar Governorate, held the Iraq Open Championship for children, youth, men, and women on December 14, 2024.
This remarkable event saw wide participation from clubs across various provinces. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Saad Maan, President of the Iraqi Alpagut Federation, wished the athletes success and emphasized the importance of developing the Alpagut sport. He noted that such competitions increase young people’s interest in sports, create opportunities to discover new talents, and strengthen community bonds.
Mr. Maan highlighted that sports are essential not only for physical health but also for psychological and social development.
