On August 24, 2016, seminars on refereeing were held. The seminars were conducted by the chief judge of the competition, Kutsan Vasif Namazov
On August 25, 2016 at 12:00 in the Olympic complex of the city of Ozurgeti, the opening ceremony of the competition was held. After the opening ceremony, the rules of the competition were explained to the participants.
On August 26, 2016, the World Cup competition began and continued until August 27, 2016. The competition was attended by 180 athletes from eight countries. In tense, lakin at the same time interestingly held fights, athletes won in different weight categories.
In the team event, the Azerbaijan national team took the first place, Georgia – the 2nd place, Iran the 3rd places. At the end of the competition, the athletes celebrated the end of this significant event with a party. Note that this event was held by the organizing committee created by the joint work of the World Alpagut Federation and the Alpagut Federation of Georgia.
