The VII-Azerbaijan championship and championship on Alpagut, which started on 07.10.2023 at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex, ended on 08.10.2023. The competition was carried out by the Azerbaijan Delegation of the World Alpagut Federation with the support of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan National Sports Association. In the competition, more than 400 athletes from about 40 branches of the republic tested their strength by competing in Aycha, Batur, Jaymaz, Gurshag fighting systems of Alpagut martial arts.
Among the guests of honor at the official opening ceremony of the competition were Daniyar Teymurlu, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of Baku, Hijran Sharifov, Chairman of the Judges’ College of the Azerbaijan National Sports Association, a member of the Board of the World Alpagut Federation Emil Rahimov, the President of the DAF Azerbaijan Representation Gudrat Nuriyev, and the Vice PresidentNurana Shikhaliyeva, the authorized representative of the World Martial Arts Games Committee in Azerbaijan Barat Orujov, the president of the Kyokushin Karate Federation of Azerbaijan Allahverdi Rustamov, the head of the cultural department of the DAF Azerbaijan representative office Elmiraga Budagov, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Blood Donation Development Center Fuad Rasul, the chairman of the Military Patriotism Commission of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union Shahin Musaoglu, “Turan Deputy Chairman of “Research Center” Public Union Javid Ismayil, Journalist Ortkhan Eltac, BSU teacher and scientist Irada Alili, Arpachay Sports Club President Yavar Huseynov and Vice President Javid Aliyev and officials, veterans, and media representatives of other organizations operating in the country participated.
The artistic part of the competition was attended by Mardiyeva Nurbaniz, a student of the University of Culture and Arts, young singer, Aysu Türkel, a young writer and reciter, and Nasib Taghiyev, a soloist of the Two State One Nation group.
It should be noted that the Director of the Competition was Kustan Vasif Namazov, General Secretary Kurshad Rafig Gasimov, Chairman of the Board of Judges Elshan Mammadov, Chief Judge Arshad Hasanov, Chairman of the Appeals Council Gabil Huseynov, Technical Director Jafar Jafarsoy and Commandant of the competition Kanan Guliyev.
