On February 5, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with Azerbaijani athletes and their coaches who successfully represented our country in continental and world championships and prestigious international competitions during the past month.
The meeting organized at the National Gymnastics Arena started with the playing of our National Anthem. During the month, a video showing the successes achieved in international competitions was shown. Then Minister Farid Gayibov congratulated the athletes for successfully representing our country in international arenas and wished them new successes.
The winners of the 4th Alpagut Martial Arts World Championship held in Bursa, Türkiye and their coaches took part in the meeting. First of all, Alpagut athletes gave information about the competitions they participated in and the victories they won. Later, the coaches of the national teams spoke about the preparation process and successes of our athletes. Head of Sports Department Elnur Mammadov also participated in the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Head Coach Rafig Gasimov informed about Alpagut sports and noted the successes of Alpagut in the international arena.
